Most people assume financial advice isn’t for them. Too expensive. Too formal. Something you do “later,” once you’ve made it. I started New Era Financial Planning to prove that wrong.
I spent years inside the financial advice industry, and what I saw frustrated me. The system was built around the already-wealthy — and everyone else, the young families and ambitious couples still building their futures, got told they were too small to bother with. The people who’d benefit most from good advice were the very people being locked out of it.
So I built New Era to flip that on its head: high-quality advice, made simple, affordable and accessible — for the rest of us.
How we’re different
We replaced the old model — thousands of dollars upfront for a document that gathers dust — with simple memberships and ongoing support. You design your future with us through your Financial Blueprint, then we walk alongside you to bring it to life. No bamboozling jargon. No judgement. Just clear, practical advice you can actually use, whenever life throws something your way.
Who’s behind it
I’m Daniel Thompson, Founder and Senior Financial Adviser at New Era. I hold a Masters in Applied Finance and a Bachelor in Economics & Commerce, and I’m National Chair of the FAAA Gen Next Committee, helping steer the future of advice in Australia.
When you work with New Era, you work directly with me — not a rotating cast of juniors. A dedicated client support team has my back behind the scenes, so you always have someone to reach, and nothing falls through the cracks. It’s the personal attention of an experienced adviser, with the reliability of a real team around you.
